Welcome to our new ICB Chief People Officer

Since the inception of NHS Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) on 1st July 2022, the ICB executive team has been keen to continually review and evolve how to best conduct its business and focus on the areas that are important to all of us.

As the executive team has assessed the ICB's shared priorities and needs, it has become clear that the People agenda locally needed more leadership capacity to continue to drive and coordinate the agenda. In our conversations with other ICBs in the East Midlands we discussed how we might share resources and collaborate and as a result we have asked Alice McGee, Chief People Officer for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) ICB, to become our ICB Chief People Officer.

Alice started her NHS career in 2007 as a national NHS Graduate Trainee on the HR programme. She has worked across a range of NHS organisations focussing on the People agenda, predominantly in the Black Country and Birmingham. In 2020 Alice joined the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland CCGs as the Executive Director of People and Innovation, focussing on transformation for their people, population and the technology used to deliver care. Alice is passionate about using population and staff insights to drive planning and decisions about how to deliver care and we look forward to working closely with her to inform our forward planning to achieve positive outcomes for our people and our communities.

Alice will be splitting her time between LLR and Northamptonshire and is being joined by Bina Kotecha, Associate Director for Leadership, Culture and Inclusion, to continue to build our leadership capacity for such an important agenda. Bina will also be splitting her time across the two ICBs.

Toby Sanders, Chief Executive of NHS Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board, said: "We already have fantastic People leaders in Northamptonshire, and we have achieved some great success under the leadership of Chris Oakes, Paula Kirkpatrick and the wider teams. Chris will continue to be the Chair of our People Board and will be working with Alice, Bina and the wider team to continue the great work in Northamptonshire for our people.

"Alice and Bina will reach out through our local networks to meet people and learn more about the great work already happening in Northamptonshire. Please do feel free to get in touch with them if you would like to meet or would like them to meet key members of your teams."
