Who we are
Integrated Care Northamptonshire's Health and Care Academy brings together health and care organisations from across the county to showcase careers and opportunities. The academy offers easy access to the wide variety of careers and programmes available, including engagement and participation events all in one place.
How we can help you
The academy's aim is to bring together everything you may need to know about starting, staying and succeeding in a career in health and social care in Northamptonshire. There's lots of helpful information on careers in health, social care and private, voluntary and independent sectors. We showcase the many different career pathways such as; apprenticeships and t-levels, and provide you with information on how you can support your development through, training, programmes, volunteering, shadowing and much more!
For the younger generation, we have included a subject to careers tool, which will show you all the possible careers to do with the subjects you love and how you can take your interests, hobbies and skills and translate them into one of the many health or social care careers.

Apprenticeships
Take care of your career and become an apprentice! Apprenticeships offer ways into many health and care jobs. They offer a mix of on-the-job training, classroom learning and, best of all, you earn while you learn.
Getting experience
Our getting experience opportunities are open to anyone thinking about a career in health and care. This includes those in education or those thinking about a career change or are unemployed.
Volunteering
We have fantastic opportunities for those wishing to offer their time to help others, or hoping to develop volunteering into a career. There are many roles available all which provide experience, learning and development.
T Levels
T Levels are a two-year qualification. They are an alternative to A levels, other post-16 courses or an apprenticeship. They offer a mix of classroom learning and ‘on-the-job’ experience. An industry placement makes up at least 315 hours (around 45 days).
