Visit your local pharmacy if you’re feeling poorly and need advice about fevers, stomach upsets, bites and stings, headaches, aches and pains. Pharmacists are experts in medicine and are a great source of advice and support.
Many common conditions can be treated with advice and support from your local pharmacy.

Visit your GP if your symptoms don’t go away, for example, if you are experiencing continuous ear pain, back pain or stomach pain. If you need treatment in the evening or at the weekend call 111 and they will be able to connect you to the GP Out of Hours service.
The new enhanced access service will help patients who are registered with a surgery in Northamptonshire to access General Practice appointments outside of normal, core hours.
Bookable appointments will be available from 6.30pm to 8pm on weekday evenings and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays but patients may be required to travel to a location, which is not their registered practice.
What services will be available?
The following appointments will be available to book. These services will be delivered by a mix of clinical professionals including GP’s, nurses and physios.
How do patients access appointments?
Appointments can be booked through your General Practice or through NHS 111.
Visit your local Urgent Care Centre when your health problem is urgent but not life threatening, for example, sprains, fractures, minor burns and skin infections.
Corby Urgent Care Centre offers care for minor injuries or illnesses that are not life-threatening and support you with wellbeing needs.
