Integrated Care Northamptonshire receives 'high commendation' at the HSJ Digital Awards 2024
We are proud to announce that our digital team has been Highly Commended in the Digital Team of the Year category at the HSJ Digital Awards 2024, recognising excellence in digitising, connecting, and transforming health and care.
All the ‘top spots’ from a total of 23 categories, were announced during a ceremony held at Manchester Central on 6 June 2024, hosted by comedian and writer, Hal Cruttenden and where the achievements of 191 shortlisted finalists (from an impressive 343 entries) were celebrated.
The HSJ Digital Awards are fast becoming an opportunity to recognise and applaud the power of digital products, projects and services to transform care delivery, enhance efficiency, and improve patient outcomes.
This highly competitive judging process strives to ensure that the most effective digital innovations can be “celebrated, scaled and spread”, and provide both a short and long-term springboard for adoption and roll out of successful initiatives.
Matthew Hutton, Digital Programme Lead: “We are just so proud to have been Highly Commended in the Digital Team of the Year category, which truly acknowledges the effort of our team who worked so hard to ensure we could move towards the ambitious vision we had for where we wanted our system to be digitally, and this has only been realised through the hard work and resilience of our team, and the support of our partner organisations.
“To be recognised in this way, in only the second ever HSJ Digital Awards, really is a great honour. Digital is a key enabler across our health and social care system in Northamptonshire and this award recognises the giant leap forward we have made together. There are so many people to thank who have supported us.”
Categories cover many aspects of the health and social care sector, demonstrating how digital initiatives can help to improve ‘hard to tackle’ issues such as reducing inequalities; improving mental health through digital services; assisting with the ongoing move to net zero and enhancing workforce engagement, productivity, and wellbeing.
Reflecting the growth and innovation within the sector, 5 new categories were also added to the 2024 awards programme, including driving change through AI and automation and Digital Organisation of the Year. Integrated Care Northamptonshire was also proud to be nominated in this category.
HSJ editor Alastair McLellan adds: “Following such a successful launch last year, it really is great to be back, recognising and celebrating the achievements of so many digital innovators within our health and social care sector. And, it’s amazing to see that the level of interest and engagement in these relatively new awards is continuing to grow – which demonstrates the commitment and enthusiasm from so many experts and leaders working in this field.
“Well done Integrated Care Northamptonshire for the part you’re playing in helping to ‘switch up’ the conversation around the current digital agenda and for taking the opportunity to benchmark your own successes against the country’s leading NHS and digital health sector organisations and projects.”
The winners and highly commended entries were selected following a rigorous two-stage judging process by a group of 93 judges ahead of the HSJ Digital 2024 awards ceremony.
