ICN Engagement Insight Library
ICN Engagement Library
Working in partnership with our county’s emerging Community and Health and Wellbeing Forums we have co-produced the Integrated Care Northamptonshire Engagement Insight Library. This is a central hub for engagement insights from across ICN partners and our communities. This has created a single point of contact and has become an essential resource with specific key aims, developed through co-production.
Participation and Co-production
Participation and Co-production
The term 'co-production' describes working in partnership by sharing power between people who draw on care and support, carers, families and citizens. We will be sharing stories from across the system, bring you some truly inspirational examples of coproduction.
NHFT Children and Young People Participation and Coproduction Team
Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) is committed to making a difference for you with you.
Each day we deliver many of the NHS services people in Northamptonshire receive in the community at home, work or in schools.
Children and young people who receive care from services play a vital role in helping to shape how they are delivered, using their lived experiences to ensure that NHFT continue to provide outstanding care.
NHFT’s children and young people Participation and Coproduction Team, work closely with young people, parents, carers and supporters to facilitate meaningful participation and coproduction to work together to reach a collective outcome on how services can best meet the needs of our communities.
Participation is for all young people, parents or carers that receive care with NHFT children’s services; this includes our universal services, children’s specialist services and children’s mental health services; who simply want to help us improve the experiences for all those who access our services.

University Hospitals of Northamptonshire Patient Engagement Pool
The Patient Engagement Pool was launched on 1 April 2023, to date, 46 new patient representatives have been recruited across the County. Each patient has indicated which service is of interest to them, and so any upcoming projects within those areas will ensure that patient representation is part of their framework.
The UHN Patient Engagement Pool offers a safe space for patients and their carers to share their experiences and help to shape our services for the future.
St Andrews HealthCare
Co-production is at the heart of everything St Andrew’s Healthcare does, and we are proud of how patients, staff, volunteers, carers, and stakeholders work collaboratively to ensure everyone has a voice and is herd.
A fantastic example of co-production is patients working with the people around them to help break down the stigma associated with mental ill health. Some patients, who are towards the end of their recovery journey, choose to waive their anonymity and talk publicly about their condition in a bid to raise awareness.
