Congratulations on your GCSE results!

With GCSE results day tomorrow, it is normal to feel overwhelmed, excited, and nervous about what the day might hold. We wish every student receiving their results tomorrow an enormous good luck and congratulations for what you have achieved. These past few years have tested everyone in many ways. To have completed your GCSEs in such unprecedented times is a tremendous achievement.

Hopefully, your grades will reflect your hard work and endless revision hours over the past two years. However, most importantly, please remember that whatever your piece of paper says tomorrow morning, you should be proud of yourself.

No matter who you are, what you have studied, or what grades you have achieved, there could be a place for you in the NHS and care sector - now, or in the future. We are excited to welcome new, talented young people into all our teams across the county. Our teams vary from registered clinical professionals, such as nurses, physios or doctors; to corporate professionals, such as finance officers, marketing leads and human resources specialists.

We invest in young people and can help you develop and grow in an apprenticeship, throughout your T-Levels or as you work your way up the career ladder. The opportunities are endless.

But where to start? The idea of knowing what you want to do at the age of 16 is a daunting one. And it is completely valid to be undecided. The Northamptonshire Heath and Care Careers academy is here to help. Whether you studied biology, psychology, maths, art, drama, or RE, we can help you find the right career for you in health and social care.

We have developed a list of the different career opportunities within the NHS and care sector, categorised by GCSE subject.

Perhaps you studied Media Studies? Why not explore Communications, Public Relations or becoming a social worker?

Or, maybe you studied Geography? Why not consider Public Health Intelligence, purchasing, or becoming an Equality, Diversity and Inclusions Offer?

The Not Sure? Start here page on this website showcases career opportunities based on the subjects you studied
