Vacancies! - Could you be NHFT's new Apprentice Healthcare Support Worker?

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join its Community Hospitals Service as Apprentice Healthcare Support Workers. The roles will be based at Isebrook Hospital in Wellingborough. If you are looking to start your career in healthcare and are passionate about providing excellent care for patients and our service users, this could be the perfect position for you! 

Successful candidates will be supported to complete the Healthcare Support Worker Level 2 or 3 Apprenticeships, based on previous experience or qualifications. For the Level 2 qualification, you will be contracted on an 18-month, fixed-term contract as an Apprentice Healthcare Support Worker - while individuals undertaking the Level 3 qualification will receive a two-year, fixed-term contract in the first instance.

NHFT will also provide a high level of support and training, giving the opportunity to learn valuable new skills. Moreover, numerous progression possibilities could become available upon successful conclusion of the position, such as Senior Healthcare Support Worker Level 3, Nursing Associate/Assistant Practitioner Level 5 or Registered Nurse Degree Level 6.

During your time with the service, you will work closely with the clinical team to build your knowledge and skills in the healthcare profession. The service focuses on patients who require rehabilitation following an acute episode of illness and provides treatment and intervention for patients with long-term conditions, including stroke rehabilitation.

For those aged 16-20, successful applicants will receive a salary of £15,202 p/a, while individuals aged 21+ at the start of the programme receive a renumeration package of £20,270 p/a. Salary adjustments will be made for those whose enter the latter age bracket during the course.
